Spontaneous application

Somewhere right now, someone is rebuilding a schedule because a shift just fell through. A planner is on the phone. A business owner is doing Dimonas at nine in the evening.

That’s the world bookU is rebuilding. We build the software that replaces the chaos with a few clicks: for staffing agencies filling thousands of shifts a week, and for the SMEs, hotels and retailers planning their own flexible teams. We’re 35 people in Kortrijk, backed by House of HR, with more than 1,000 organisations running on our platforms in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany.

Two platforms, one mission: make flexible work flow across Europe.

This is normally the place for a job title

There isn't one. That's rather the point.

We're growing fast, which means the role you'd be right for might not be online yet, or might not exist until someone makes the case for it. So if bookU is on your radar and none of our open roles fit, this is your way in. No vacancy required.

What you'll do

That depends entirely on you. Broadly, this is where our people sit:

  • Product & engineering — building the two platforms our customers plan their weeks on.
  • Sales — SME, large accounts, and staffing. Different worlds, same product.
  • Partnerships — social secretariats, staffing partners, and white-label. A big part of how we grow.
  • Customer success & support — getting customers live and keeping them there. The people our customers actually know by name.
  • Marketing — brand, content, campaigns, events, and the story behind a category that's still being defined.

Tell us which one feels like yours. Or make the case for something we haven't thought of yet, that has worked before.

You who?

  • You read what we do above and something clicked. You can tell us what.
  • You take ownership. When something needs doing, you don't wait for a meeting about it.
  • You dig for the real problem instead of patching the symptom. A workaround that doesn't fix anything doesn't count.
  • You say it like it is, even when it's the awkward version.
  • You ask questions before you assume the answers, and you're comfortable working somewhere the path isn't fully mapped out yet.
  • You speak Dutch and English fluently.
  • Bonus: you have affinity with staffing, HR tech, or workforce planning. Not a requirement, several of us didn't.

Whoohoo!

If there's a match, we'd be glad to offer you:

The essentials
A salary aligned with your experience, an annual sector bonus, meal vouchers and eco cheques, plus hospitalisation and outpatient care insurance.

Getting there
A company car or a lease bike, depending on your role. Cotton Park is a ten-minute bike ride from Kortrijk station either way.

Your time
32 days of annual leave, a flexible schedule, and hybrid working, plus an ironing service, because your Sunday evening is worth more than that.

Your day-to-day
An office at Cotton Park with free access to the fitness facilities, and a team small enough that everyone knows what you're working on.

The fun part
Friday drinks, barbecues, karting, teambuildings, fun incentives, but above all a lot of fun together!

Your growth
Continuous professional development, real ownership from week one, and genuine recognition for what you contribute.

One more thing.

We're growing fast, but we're not big yet. That means fewer processes, more ownership, and work that's visible the moment you do it. If that sounds like your kind of mess, you'll fit right in.
